Pondera - launch 2012

The New Zealand Affordable Art Trust launches the 2012 New Zealand Art Show at the Museum Hotel.

On Sunday April 29 250 guests were treated to fine wine, delicious nibbles and around 55 artworks from 24 of New Zealand's up and coming stars.

The Trust also announced some new initiatives: the NZAAT Emerging Artists Awards and a new on-line gallery to view and buy original New Zealand art.

Chris Parkin, owner of the Museum Art Hotel was recognised for his contribution to the trust and its operations, with a gift of a specially engraved trophy cup.

Graeme Reeves, the chair of the NZAAT, said it was a privilege to have the support of a renowned art patron and that the success of the Trust was due in part to the self-less generosity of Chris Parkin and many like him who contributed to the NZAAT.
